Jane B. Sofair, is a board-certified psychiatrist practicing in New Jersey and a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. A prolific writer, she has authored numerous essays, commentaries, book reviews, and peer-reviewed research articles. During the past two years, Dr. Sofair has served as Chair for the Psychiatric Times Special Report, addressing key issues in psychiatric practice and clinician wellness. She also chaired a workshop on physician burnout at the 2018 American Psychiatric Association's annual meeting. Dr. Sofair holds a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College and completed her medical studies at New York University Grossman School of Medicine. She also pursued her residency in psychiatry at the NYU Langone  Medical Center. Her first book, The Beauty World Through the Lens of a Psychiatrist, marks a new chapter in her career.
